Schemas Change Notification - Mailing Address

Dear Sirs, let me inform you that we have activated support for a mailing address on test environments, which also caused to make the schema change and the necessary co-operation on your side. We plan to make this change in production systems in the second week in January 2018, we will inform you about the exact date. To increase the certainty that the above change will take place without complications, please pay attention to the following instructions and do the following tests on the test environment. Even if you do not plan to use a mailing address, a return value for info_contact will contain it for objects that will have it completed in the registry. You can already test info_contact operation for a contact with a mailing address with a contact we have created: CONTACT-TEST-MAILING-ADDR. We have also made the necessary changes in the fred-client which can be downloaded at: https://www.nic.cz/page/744/registracni-system/ - FredClient scripts - new version <https://www.nic.cz/files/nic/doc/fred-client-2.9.0-rc2.tar.gz> Changes in fred-client are described in doc/README_ [CS | EN]. Client Version 2.9 - Mailing address in contact) Incompatible changes should only be made for the command-line interface of the fred-client when using positional parameters and concurrent entering the cltrid parameter because the mailing address was in this input mode added before cltrid, e.g.: create_contact CONTACT-TEST 'Jane Doe' jane.doe(a)nic.cz 'Unknown 42' 'Twin Peaks' "" CZ NULL NULL NULL +420.111111111 () NULL () NULL (("Milesovska Praha" "CZ)) cltrid-000001 The same should apply for update_contact. It is true that you should upgrade to new schemas and if you use fred-client (in any way) then upgrade also the fred-client. If you do not do it (e.g. because you do not plan to use a mailing address), then in case of a reply to info_contact of the contact that has it configured, you will not be able to validate your reply via the old schemas. So, we especially recommend that you test everything on the test. What to do in points: 1. Test communication at least for commands (create_contact, update_contact, info_contact) even if you do not plan to have a mailing list 4. Deploy new schemas into your production systems (you can do it already after successful testing at any time, at the latest on the date we make the change in January). Dear Sirs, on November 15, 2017 at 0:00 to 4:00 AM (the timing will be in the zone CET - Central European Time) the domain management system shutdown will be carried out. The system will be unavailable during the shutdown. At that time there will not be available information associated with the registry in the Intranet - credit status, list of invoices and expired domains of registrars. Furthermore, the EPP system, web/unix WHOIS and RDAP; displaying a list of registrars; establishing requests for authinfo, blocking and unblocking; mojeID profile editor, interface for creating mojeID accounts and login into the domain browser will not work as well. During the shutdown there will be deployed - the refractory EPP code (especially methods for poll messages and work with credit - all without changes to the existing interface, changes occur only at element texting <reason> in EPP answers) - mailing address administration options via EPP (will result in the change of schema, that is why we will launch it at the beginning of 2018, the mailing address administration options will be turned on in the next few days on the test environment, we will give you details so you can tune your systems.) - adjustments in contacts merging (we will launch it in the next weeks) - and other minor changes All these changes are already implemented on the cz-test instance. Dear Sirs, on May 31, 2017 at 0:00 to 4:00 AM (the timing will be in the zone CEST - Central European Summer Time) the domain management system shutdown will be carried out. The system will be unavailable during the shutdown. At that time there will not be available information associated with the registry in the Intranet - credit status, list of invoices and expired domains of registrars. Furthermore, the EPP system, web/unix WHOIS and RDAP; displaying a list of registrars; establishing requests for authinfo, blocking and unblocking; mojeID profile editor, interface for creating mojeID accounts and login into the domain browser will not work as well. During the shutdown there will be deployed several optimizations for our helpdesk, error correction in domain recovery notification, adjustment of automatic email informing about domain exclusion from the zone and other minor changes. Dear Sirs, on May 3, 2017 at 08:00 PM to May 4, 2017 4:00 AM (the timing will be in the zone CEST - Central European Summer Time) the domain management shutdown will be carried out. The system will be unavailable during the shutdown. The earlier start and longer shutdown time is enforced by the scale and type of changes we plan to make. At that time there will not be available information associated with the registry in the Intranet - credit status, list of invoices and expired domains of registrars. Furthermore, the EPP system, web/unix WHOIS and RDAP; displaying a list of registrars; establishing requests for authinfo, blocking and unblocking; mojeID profile editor, interface for creating mojeID accounts and login into the domain browser will not work as well. I would like to point out the fact that the earlier start of the shutdown will mean the impossibility of last-minute domain renewals. During the shutdown there will be upgraded the PostgreSQL database to the 9.6 version and there will be deployed changes related with this step.
