The CZ.NIC Association has started international cooperation aimed at
connecting domain name registration systems to European electronic
identification mechanisms as defined by the eIDAS regulation. As part of
the European project RegeID, we cooperate with Estonia, Denmark, the
Netherlands and the Association of European registries CENTR. More
information about the project is at https://regeid.eu
One of the tasks of the project is research on the state of use of
electronic identification systems among registrars. Therefore, we would
like to ask you to cooperate in filling out the above questionnaire,
which was prepared by another of the project partners, the Dutch company
Signicat and distributed by CENTR.

on Monday March 22, 2021 at 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM the domain management
system will be shut down - at this time the system will be temporarily
unavailable.
At that time, the EPP connection will not be available.
Furthermore, information associated with the registry in the Intranet -
credit status, list of invoices and expired domains of registrars - will
not work as well.
Within the shutdown we make the necessary changes to the registry
infrastructure that will not have any negative impacts on its functionality.
In connection with the mentioned changes in the infrastructure, since
April 12, 2021, for communication via EPP we will require the following:
(most of you already use the EPP this way)
- encryption with TLS v1.2 or higher (TLS v1.0 or TLS v1.1 will no
longer be enabled)
- use of certificate with an RSA key with a length of at least 2048bit
and with the SHA-256 algorithm

Dear Sirs,
FYI: CZ.NIC Association extends the functionality of domains for which
their holders do not manage to pay on time.
Taking into account the current situation associated with security
measures against the spread of COVID-19, the CZ.NIC Association's
management has decidedto extend the functionality of unpaid .cz domains,
from 30 to 60 days.
It is a temporary solution that is valid until further notice. It should
help the end-holders
of Czech domains if they find themselves in a situation when they are
not able to
extend their domains in a standard way.
The decision is valid from tomorrow (from March, 24, 00:00 AM). Domains that
are to be deleted today will be deleted but starting from tomorrow all
domainsperiod will be extended from 60 (30 + 30) to 90 (60 + 30) days.
It will apply to both
domains which are new to expiration, and also to all that are already after
expiration (these domains will also be added the 30 days). Among other
things, itmeans that now for the upcoming 30 days no domains will be
deleted.
This change is valid until further notice (we will inform you in time
about the deadlineof return terms, as well as about the mechanism we do it).
We also decided to cancel the annual fees for accessing the registry
for all registrars for 2020. The way we handle the refund
of the already paid monthly payments we will inform you further. This
amount will no longer be billed in your March bill.

on Wednesday March 18 at 10:00 PM to March 19, 2020 2:00 AM we will shut
down parts of our systems and at this time
- there will not be available some of our webs such as Intranet, web
whois and the domain browser
- it will not be possible to login to mojeID
Within the shutdown we will deploy:
- improvements to the user interface for sending requests:
https://www.nic.cz/whois/send-password/
- changes to Intranet (possibility of voting of more persons of one
member and e-mail as a default option for communication with newly
created members)
- possibility to add more FIDO tokens for two-factor authentication in
mojeID
All these changes are already implemented on the test instance
https://demo.regtest.nic.czand after deploying to production should not
cause any negative operating impacts.

will be shut down and at that time:
- there will be a short time non-functionality of login with mojeID
- it will not be possible to create new mojeID accounts and edit
existing ones
- the website www.mojeid.cz will be unavailable for a short time
2) On Wednesday March 4, 2020 at 00:00 AM to 4:00 AM the domain
management system will be shut down.
At that time there will not be available information associated with the
registry in the Intranet - credit status, list of invoices and expired
domains of registrars.
Furthermore, some web presentations, the EPP system, web/unix WHOIS and
RDAP; displaying a list of registrars; establishing requests for
authinfo, blocking and unblocking; mojeID profile editor; interface for
creating mojeID accounts and login into the domain browser will not work
as well.
Within the shutdown we will make necessarychanges in the registry
infrastructure that will not have any negative impacts on its functionality.

Dear Sirs,
let me inform you we have prepared an alternative option for the annual
registrar fee deduction in 2020.
This option means that the fee is deducted on a monthly basis
always as part of the monthly bill, that is, on the last day of
each month, the registrar credit will be charged of 5000 CZK, and this
amount will be
also shown on your monthly invoice. It is, of course, necessary
to keep an eye on your credit at the end of each month so you do not end
up in negative numbers.
If you are interested in this form of payment, please let me know
by January 15, 2020 the latest. We will then include you in this system
and as of January 2020 you will be charged each month for the annual fee.
If you do not want to use this form of deduction, you do not have to do
anything - the annual registrar fee will be charged as usualas one
amount on November 30, 2020 as part of your billfor November 2020.
