Shutdown notice - 15.05.2024

Greetings, there will be a service system shutdown on Wednesday 15th of May between 00:01 and 01:00 (CET) - at this time the system is going to be unavailable for most of the time. During the shutdown, the registry services will be unavailable, including EPP (for a few minutes max). The following services will be unavailable: - EPP - web / unix WHOIS and RDAP - registrars list and requests on website www.nic.cz - authinfo requests, blocking, unblocking - MojeID profile editor and profile creation interface - Domain browser, verification portal, intranet The aim of this system shutdown is to maintain the database of the domain management system. The change of procedure after cancellation or termination of Domain Name registration - launch of domain auctions on 1.5.2024

Good afternoon, I'd like to remind you that the domains auction system is going to be launched on Wednesday 01.05.2024 shortly after midnight. After the domain is cancelled or terminated, it will no longer be available for free registration and instead will be put on the list of domains for auction. The first auctions will start on 16.05. All in compliance with the new Rules of Domain Names Registration, Rules for Auctions and Rules of Operation for Auctions. You can find the documents here https://www.nic.cz/page/314/rules-and-policies/ We'll have to restart the system on 1 May 0:00 - 0:30, meaning the following services could be unavailable for a few moments: WEBWHOIS, RDAP, Domain browser, MojeID (profile and login) and Verification portal. Shutdown notice - 24.04.2024 - schemes deployment in production instance

Good morning, there will be a short service system shutdown on Wednesday 24th of April between 00:05 and 00:30 (CET) - at this time, a major part of the system will be restarted and new schemes will be deployed in production system. During the shutdown, the registry services will be unavailable, including EPP (for a few minutes max). During the shutdown, you may encounter short-term system outages (a few minutes maximum) for the following services: - EPP - Intranet - web / unix WHOIS and RDAP - Domain browser Thank you for understanding. [Reg-cz] New schemes deployment in the test environment

Greetings, following the domain auction system, we've updated the XML query for "check domain" operation in the new FRED version. Now the domain (or domains) and its availability can be checked in regards of a specific contact. By this it's possible to verify whether the contact is the winner of the auction of the requested domain name. The element "reason", in the XML response, is to differentiate responses in case of failure. The rest of EPP communication schemes stays the same. This version is already available in the public test environment. Since it's only an extension of current schemes, we will deploy it to the production next week. We've also added the extension of validation schemes "auction-*.xsd" into the XML schemes related of this release. New schemes version can be here: https://www.nic.cz/page/744/registracni-system/ in the section "SOFTWARE FOR TESTING". You can also find the new EPP client version here ("New interactive console client 3.0.1"). ATTENTION - the older EPP client fred-client is no longer supported in the new FRED version (last version is 2.15.3) and it does not contain the domain auction feature We would also like to ask you to consider creating your own landing page, as the URL will be on the list of registrars in the last e-mail to the auction winner for an easy registration. A simple pdf document with instruction how to register the auctioned domain with you would also be appreciated - we'd love to put it on the list. You can find an example of XML query (and its response) for "check domain" and with specification "extension:check:registrant" in attachment. There are 5 domains in the example below. Domains with active auction and a few with winner are available in the test environment. New communication schemes, specification

Hello, since some of you has asked for specifications about the new schemes, I am sending more information: There is still authinfo present in schemas for <create> command, but it must be empty. According to RFC9154 (https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc9154.html#name-create-command), create command - MUST allow the passing of an empty authorization information value and - MAY disallow the passing of a non-empty authorization information value Authinfos are not strictly server-generated, you can still set your authinfo if it meets the basic requirements. This is why for <update>, there is still authinfo, and the server behaviour is as follows: - empty authinfo invalidates all valid authinfos for given registrar (new behaviour) - non-empty authinfo sets "user-set authinfo" if it is at least 8 characters long (new is the requirement of minimal length) In case of more questions please let me know. New communication schemes, new version of system

Good afternoon, let me inform you that a new version of the system is currently running in the public test environment, which includes the changes announced at the fall seminar. The changes in the Authinfo system, specifically: - we will stop processing /create / update/ commands with Authinfo filled out (an error will be returned) - Authinfo has to be at least 8 characters - added "help" in mail in response to sendauthinfo Please give attention and time to the change to avoid problems in processing requests. *We would like to put these changes into production the week of February 8th. Till then please make the necessary scheme change in your systems to the version 2.4.6.* You may do so now as the new schemes are compatible.
