Hi,
After moving one of my authoritative nameservers from bind to nsd, I
thought why not migrate another one to knot, it seems nice... :-)
So, I started writing a small script to output the knot conf bits I needed
only to find out that I can't find a way to do includes, like I do with
bind or nsd.
What's the usual way to do that kind of things ?
I have created
https://git.nic.cz/redmine/issues/1862 to track your request,
as we think it's a good idea to allow includes in the config section.
Is it possible to have more than one keys, remotes and
zones sections ?
I don't think so, but this could be easily solved by allowing nested includes,
i.e. includes inside the section. We'll add this to our release plan.
Meanwhile I suggest to create simple script to assemble final configuration
file together.
And last note: if you are going to use Knot DNS with many zone files, please
wait for 1.0.4, where we significantly (2x) improved loading time of many zone
files. We need to nail down one last hard-to-find segfault we experience after
few days of runtime and we will be doing the final 1.0.4 release. Or for testing
purposes you can use development branch from git, where are all the necessary fixes
right now.
