Hi Simon, I'm afraid that using unix timestamp as serial number is currently only option in FRED, but I think this is not problem at all. First, there is pretty well described process of fixing serial number from higher to lower number (as in this case). It's described for example here: http://zytrax.com/books/dns/ch9/serial.html Of course second (just theoretical) approach is, if you can survive secondary DNS outage, or you are building new infrastructure from scratch, you can also delete zone file on secondary server and restart them after zone generation on primary server.
