My recommendation would be, if possible, to install Ubuntu 12.04 and then add the
fred.nic.cz
repository and install FRED with:<
apt-get install fred

Yeap, Mario is right. It works like a charm with 12.04 64bit.
Ricardo, don't use OS which isn't supported any longer.
Did anyone try Ubuntu 14.04 LTS? Kind regards
