We would like to run an ENUM registry for several companies to use to
provide lookups for their customers. The registry would store the
service provider gateway addresses.
I would like to ask a couple of questions.
We have been introduced to the Austrian ENUM server software, but it
appears to be very hard to install and does not support ubuntu server.
Does FRED do the same things as the Austrian software?
We found during a test that Cisco devices do not support the latest ENUM
RFC and we had to use an ENUM proxy to translate back to the old RFC.
Does FRED overcome this issue with Cisco gateway ENUM lookups?
We want to use a private domain for the registrations: domain.com
Does Fred permit the use of a private domain tree or must we use
e164.arpa?

We would like to separate files for different subzones. Two possible
strategies:
1. Some option from genzone_client using an only zone.
2. Defining zones in FRED .cr, .ac.cr, .co.cr and the like (notice the
second-level zone).
Any thoughts?.

FRED installation using Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty) is very similar to an 8.04
installation.
There was one problem, though, with tinyerp-server, it fails. I
apparently solved that with this trick:
cp /usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/oldxml/_xmlplus/utils/boolean.so
/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/_xmlplus/utils/
So it seems that everything is OK now.
BTW, I guess that future versions will use OpenERP which is TinyERP
succesor.....

It turn back error:

ERROR: I cannot connect to the server localhost.
Connection socket.error: (111, 'Connection refused') (localhost:700)
It worked normally yesterday.
On UBUNTU:
I have these errors when trying to run fred-client :

I've install all mentioned on M GUERRA before install FRED.
Do you remember when I had problem with fred-pyfred (witch not started) on DEBIAN and when I used fred-manager for install.
I had solved this with installing omniORBpy and fred-pyfred started.
So I think that I can solve this same problem on Ubuntu with omniORBpy installation.
Only fred-pyfred server don't start on UBUNTU.
On DEBIAN I have to delete FRED database for restarting servers otherwise it stop on PostgreSQL interface.
